At just 24 years old, Cris Cab has accomplished more in the world of music than most artists ever dream of. He's hit the top of the charts, won awards, collaborated with some of the biggest names in all of music and toured the world playing in arenas, festivals and clubs. And yet, he's somehow still just getting started.
"I've released a lot of music already and have been fortunate enough to align myself with some amazing people to get my career off the ground. But I still feel like this is just the beginning," says the Miami based artist.
Finding the right collaborators has been one of the keys to Cris' success. As a protégé of one of the most influential figures in pop culture, Pharrell Willams, Cris mastered his craft while working along side of the game's brightest stars. Artists like Big Sean, Mike Posner, Wyclef, B.o.B, and just recently latin superstar J. Balvin, have all been featured on Cab's material. In fact, Pharrell himself was featured on the 2014 hit "Liar Liar" which became an international smash, peaking at #9 on the Worldwide Top 40 Airplay Chart, going as high as #1 in France, #2 in Germany and #3 in Italy and Holland. Meanwhile, the video for the song would go on to accumulate close to 60 million views and the Spotify streams for it are now pushing 50 million. The track was also crowned the song of the summer in Italy by Coca-Cola.
On top of the hectic recording schedule Cris has kept over the past few years, he's also stayed busy on the touring front sharing the stage with the likes of Ariana Grande, Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith, Iggy Azalea, Lorde, and more. He was also the opening act on Pharrell's Dear G.I.R.L. tour hitting arenas all throughout Europe and played at Governor's Ball in his homeland of America. Other key performances include the World Music Awards, which was televised in 180 countries as well as the finale of such international shows as The Voice and X-Factor.
All of this activity would lead to accolades like the MTV International Push Artist of the Month and drive the young artist to the #1 spot on Billboard / Twitter's Emerging Artists Chart.
Most recently in June of 2017, Cris released his single "All Of The Girls" which features another Miami based Cuban-American, Pitbull. That one immediately landed on Spotify's New Music Friday playlist in France and lead to a summer of tv, radio and press. Just weeks before its release, Cab was called to come to Paris and perform at the new President, Emmanuel Macron's election win rally which was covered by nearly every major news outlet around the globe.
"It's been a blessing to be so accepted in some other countries overseas. The fans over there allow me to travel the world getting to do what I love for a living. Its just as much their project as it is mine" Cris says.
Cris is currently finishing up his next release which will be out in early 2018. Stay tuned for more details on one of the music industry's most exciting up and coming artists at www.criscab.com.
